Domanda esistenzial-intredimale

Well, as you can see, the English didn't get as contaminated: Saturday and Sunday sitting alongside Moon's day, Tyr's day, Wotan's day, Thor's day, and, reflecting our cooking skills, Fry day.

Interesting. I think I had already heard about that from an Irish colleaugue. Very interesting is the coincidence between the latin, greek, germanic and anglo-saxon assignments of the days to the respective god for the corresponding area. I'm wondering whether one copied the other or whether there is a common indo-european origin behind it.
